The COVID-19 outbreak has drastically altered daily life. For millions of students and parents, that means homeschooling or for some probably just stuck with home trying to make every day a productive one.

Kids, especially, are the ones who are very affected during these trying times, a drastic yet pandemic. So to help you make sure that they still enjoy their time at home, you should introduce these helpful activity tips to them!

Let’s check this out!

Birdwatching

Birdwatching is a meditative activity that requires patience and alertness. But essentially, it provides you with an opportunity to spend time outdoors without even going out a little too far and gives you a peek into the fascinating life of the wildlife around you.

So get your binoculars and birdwatching map, and then head out to the park or even your backyard. You’ll be amazed by what you’ll see when you take time to observe.

Night Sky Watching

Do kids love astronomy? Then this is the perfect time to introduce them to the use of telescopes. You can guide them by reading about astronomy in the day so they can eventually identify stars and other night-time elements in your night activity.

You don’t really have to go to the roof for the perfect view of the night sky, you can just be in your balcony and enjoy the night time sky.

Go Backyard, Rooftop or Deck Camping

Buy or borrow a tent or encourage your kids to create their own tepee from a blanket, poles, or sticks. Leave it up all summer.

Make s’mores, play flashlight tag, and make shadow puppets on the tent wall. Encourage them to run into the house for provisions from the refrigerator, and back out again. To turn the tent into a homemade observation blind, cut a small window in the side that faces a nearby bird feeder, bat house, or a place frequented by wildlife. Stow binoculars, field guides, a digital camera with a telephoto lens, water, and granola bars.

That’s it, you can also get friendly toys here “gifts for 10 year girl from You Review It” for a really good reference on the best toys to play for kids 10 and above ages.
